The Foundation established this lectureship to honor Dr. Kitzhaber's nationally recognized contributions to the citizens of Oregon as State Senator and Governor through his pioneering leadership in legislating the Oregon Health Plan. This lectureship focuses on issues related to economics and public policy in healthcare.

The 2012 John Kitzhaber, M.D., Lectureship Dinner on Healthcare Policy is Tuesday, November 27 at the Portland Hilton Hotel. The speaker for this event this year is Dr. Richard Baron, M.D., MACP, Group Director, Seamless Care Models, Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovations Center.
